The Starlight Friends
In the deepest corner of the Whispering Woods, where moonbeams danced like silver ribbons, there lived three very different creatures. Barnaby was a gruff old **bear** who loved honey and hated mornings. Penny was a tiny, curious **cat** who chased shadows and sang to the stars. And Bruno was a gentle **bull** with a heart as big as his spotted shoulders.
"You're too loud," Barnaby grumbled one evening, rubbing his sleepy eyes.
"You're too slow!" Penny pounced on his tail, which twitched like a fuzzy worm.
Bruno just chewed peaceful clover and smiled. "Maybe we could all be friends?"
"Impossible!" huffed Barnaby. "Bears sleep alone."
"Boring!" squeaked Penny.
But that night, something magical happened. A shooting star fell into the Darkling Pond, and its light began to fade. Without that star's magic, the forest would turn gray forever.
"I can't swim," Barnaby admitted sadly.
"I'm too small," Penny whispered.
Bruno stepped forward. "Together, we can do anything."
So they tried something impossible. Barnaby pushed Bruno from behind. Bruno carried Penny on his broad back. And Penny used her sharp eyes to guide them through the misty waters.
Splash! Splash! Splash!
They reached the sinking star just in time. Penny fished it out with her paw. It burst into rainbow light, painting the night sky with colors never seen before.
From that night on, the three friends learned something wonderful: being different makes you stronger together. Barnaby's strength, Bruno's kindness, and Penny's cleverness — each was special, but together they were magical.
And sometimes, if you visit the Whispering Woods, you might still see them there — a bear, a bull, and a cat — watching stars together and sharing stories of the night they saved the light.
