The Starlight Cat's Secret Game
Luna was not an ordinary cat. While other cats slept curled on soft cushions, Luna had a secret job — she was a star spy. Every night, she would creep to the window and watch the sky, taking notes about which stars twinkled brightest and which constellations danced across the darkness.
One evening, Luna spotted something new. A tiny glowing girl was sliding down a moonbeam, landing softly in the garden. Luna's whiskers twitched with curiosity.
The girl's name was Nova, and she was a star child who had slipped away from her celestial home to visit Earth. "I'm looking for a friend," she said, her voice sounding like wind chimes. "The stars are beautiful, but they're always so far apart."
Luna purred and rubbed against Nova's sparkly dress. "I'll be your friend!" she meowed. "And I know just what we can do."
The cat led Nova to a mysterious door at the edge of the garden — one that only appeared at midnight. When they opened it, they found themselves floating in space, surrounded by glittering stars and colorful planets.
"Welcome to the Cosmic Padel Court!" Luna announced.
Nova gasped with delight. In the center of space hovered a magical court where stars themselves played padel — a game like tennis, but the rackets were made of moonlight and the ball was a shooting star.
"Teach me!" Nova cried.
Luna, who had spied on the stars for years, showed Nova how to swing a moonlight racket and how to serve a shooting star across the glowing net. They played for hours, laughter bouncing off asteroids as comets zoomed past like enthusiastic spectators.
"This is better than shining alone," Nova said, hugging Luna. "Thank you for being my friend."
Luna purred. "That's the most important thing I've learned as a star spy — even the brightest stars need someone to share their light with."
And every night after that, Luna and Nova would meet at the cosmic padel court, playing under the watchful eyes of twinkling stars who finally understood: the best magic happens when you share it with a friend.
