The Starlight Bull's Secret

Lily had the wildest hair in her class—a curly brown cloud that bounced when she walked. One sunny afternoon, she was playing in her grandmother's garden when she spotted something extraordinary behind the old oak tree.

A bull was sitting there. Not a scary bull, but a gentle one with fur that sparkled like tiny stars. He wasn't running or charging; he was carefully examining something small and golden in his hoof.

"Hello," Lily whispered, her heart beating fast.

The bull looked up with kind brown eyes. "Hello, little one. I'm Barnaby, and I'm in a bit of a predicament."

Lily stepped closer. Barnaby was holding something that looked like a tiny glowing vitamin. It pulsed with soft rainbow light.

"This is a starlight vitamin," Barnaby explained. "My friend Twinkle the fairy is sick, and this is the only thing that can help her feel better. But I dropped my magical iPhone—that's how we fairies and forest friends communicate—and now I can't find my way to her cottage."

Lily's eyes widened. "You have an iPhone?"

Barnaby chuckled, a warm sound like rustling leaves. "Not like yours. Ours are made of moonlight and magic. They help us find each other when someone needs help."

Without hesitation, Lily pulled out her own iPhone from her pocket. "Can I help? Maybe we can use maps?"

But Barnaby shook his head. "Technology won't work here. But you have something better—kindness in your heart and adventure in your spirit. Will you come with me?"

Lily nodded, her curly hair bobbing with excitement. Together they set off, running through meadows filled with butterflies that shimmered like jewels. They crossed a babbling brook where fish sang ancient songs.

Finally, they reached a tiny cottage made of mushroom caps. Inside, Twinkle the fairy looked pale and tired. Barnaby gently gave her the starlight vitamin.

As she swallowed it, color returned to her cheeks. She smiled at Lily. "Thank you for helping Barnaby. True friends are the greatest magic of all."

Lily learned that day that the best adventures come from helping others, and sometimes the most extraordinary friends have the biggest hearts.
