The Starlight Bull's Secret

vitaminbullrunning

Every morning, seven-year-old Leo held his nose and swallowed his orange vitamin. "Blech," he'd say, wishing it was candy instead. He hated swallowing pills almost as much as he hated running.

At school, everyone was excited about the Great Rainbow Race. But Leo always came in last. His legs felt heavy, like they were made of jellybeans instead of muscles.

One night, Leo couldn't sleep. He crept to the window and saw something amazing—a giant bull made of twinkling stars! It stood in his backyard, its silver horns glowing like crescent moons.

"Hello, little one," said the star-bull in a voice that sounded like wind chimes. "I'm Taurus. I fell from the sky while running across the Milky Way, and now I'm stuck."

Leo's eyes widened. "You were RUNNING? Even bulls can run?"

"In the sky, we run with starlight," Taurus explained. "But I've lost my sparkle. I need something special to fly again."

Leo thought hard. Then he had an idea. He ran to the kitchen and grabbed his vitamin bottle. The orange pills glowed when moonlight hit them.

"Maybe..." Leo whispered. He held up a vitamin. It twinkled!

"Starlight vitamins!" Taurus neighed happily. "That's exactly what I need!"

Leo gave the bull three glowing vitamins. CRUNCH! Taurus munched them happily. Suddenly, the bull's hooves started sparkling.

"Thank you, Leo!" Taurus said. "Now I'll teach you something. Running isn't about being fastest. It's about feeling FREE."

The magical bull tapped Leo's shoulder with a starry hoof. Suddenly, Leo's legs felt light as feathers.

"Try running now," Taurus said.

Leo ran around the yard—fast as a comet, graceful as a cloud! He felt like he was flying!

"Remember," Taurus called, galloping upward into the night sky, "you don't need magic vitamins. You had the power all along. You just needed to believe!"

The next day, Leo ran in the Great Rainbow Race. He didn't come in first, but he didn't come in last either. Best of all, he was smiling the whole time.

That night, Leo swallowed his vitamin without holding his nose. He winked at the sky, where Taurus ran among the stars.

Running wasn't scary anymore. It was magical.
