The Starlight Bull's Gift
Lily loved **running** through the meadow behind her grandmother's cottage. Every evening at sunset, she'd race the wind across the grass until her grandmother called her for dinner.
One magical evening, Lily discovered something extraordinary. Behind the old oak tree, hidden among tall flowers, was a secret **pool** that shimmered like liquid stars. But what surprised her most was what lay beside it—a tiny bull no bigger than a rabbit, with fur that sparkled in every color of the rainbow.
"Hello there," Lily whispered, kneeling down.
The little bull's eyes twinkled like tiny moons. "I'm Bell," he said in a voice like gentle bells. "And this is the Starlight Pool. It grants wishes to those with kind hearts."
Lily's eyes grew wide. "Really?"
"Yes," said Bell. "But first, you must solve my riddle. What makes you strong inside and out, helps you grow, and can be found in nature's colorful treasures?"
Lily thought hard. She remembered her mother always telling her to eat her oranges and carrots. "A **vitin**... no, a **vitamin**!" she exclaimed.
Bell's rainbow fur glowed brighter. "Correct! Now, make your wish."
Lily thought carefully. She didn't wish for toys or candy. "I wish for my sick friend Timmy to feel better. He hasn't been able to play outside for weeks."
The Starlight Pool swirled with silver light. A single star floated up and danced toward Lily. "Take this to Timmy," Bell said. "It will help him heal."
Lily ran all the way to Timmy's house, the star glowing warm in her pocket. When she placed it on his nightstand, Timmy smiled—the first real smile in weeks.
"I feel stronger already," Timmy said.
The next day, Timmy was well enough to go outside. From that day on, Lily and Timmy visited the magical pool together, always remembering that the greatest magic is kindness shared with friends.
