The Starlight Bear's Secret
Maya had the wildest **hair** in her class—a big fluffy cloud of curls that bounced when she walked. But she didn't care, because her best friend was Barnaby, a stuffed **bear** with one ear that flopped sideways.
One night, when moonlight painted her bedroom silver, Barnaby twitched his fuzzy brown nose.
"Maya!" the bear whispered. "The Moon King needs our help!"
Maya rubbed her eyes. Barnaby was ALIVE!
"What's wrong?" she asked.
"The stars are fading!" Barnaby explained. "We need to find the golden **palm** tree on Dream Island and collect starlight **vitamin** drops before the night sky goes dark forever!"
Maya climbed onto Barnaby's back, and WHOOSH—they flew through her open window, soaring past sleeping houses and twinkling fireflies until they reached an island where trees had leaves like giant green hands.
"There!" Barnaby pointed to a shimmering **palm** tree with golden coconuts. Each coconut held starlight **vitamin** drops that made stars shine bright.
But the coconuts were way up high. Maya's curls caught in the breeze as she climbed, higher and higher, until—SNAP! She grabbed a golden coconut just as it fell.
Inside, glowing blue liquid sparkled like captured stars.
"Quick!" said Barnaby. "We must give this to the Moon King!"
They sprinkled the starlight drops across the sky. One by one, stars flickered back to life, winking like tiny nightlights.
"Thank you," said the Moon King, his voice sounding like soft music. "You saved the night." He touched Maya's head. "And your wild **hair**? It's perfect, because it shows you have a wild, wonderful heart."
Barnaby stayed real after that night. And every evening, Maya and her bear **friend** sat by her window, watching the stars they'd saved, knowing that even small people with big hearts can do big, magical things.
