The Star-Vitamin Sphinx
Lily loved sleeping under the stars. Every night, she'd count them until her eyelids grew heavy. One moonless night, something magical happened.
A creature appeared above her backyard—a giant sphinx made of stardust! His lion paws sparkled like diamonds, and his eagle wings glowed soft blue. But his human face looked sad.
"Hello, little one," the sphinx rumbled gently. "I am Orion the Guardian. I've lost my strength."
Lily sat up, her heart racing with wonder. "What happened?"
"Without my special star vitamins, I grow too weak to hold up the night sky. Soon, the stars will fall!" Orion's voice trembled.
"I'll help you!" Lily promised. "Where do we find these vitamins?"
Orion pointed upward. "In the constellation Taurus—the Great Bull guards them. But he only shares with those who are truly brave and kind."
Lily squeezed her eyes shut. "Take me there!"
Suddenly, she was soaring through space on Orion's back! Below them, the Bull constellation charged across the heavens. His golden horns were made of morning light, and his eyes shone like twin moons.
The Bull blocked their path. "None shall pass!" he thundered.
Lily thought quickly. Instead of fighting, she knelt and offered her glow-in-the-dark bracelet. "This is my favorite treasure. May I please have the star vitamins to help Orion?"
The Bull paused. His massive nose sniffed the bracelet, then Lily's hands. He smelled kindness, not greed.
"You are brave to ask, and kind to offer your treasure," the Bull said softly. He opened his mouth and spat out three glowing purple gems—the star vitamins!
Orion swallowed them. His stardust body blazed brighter than ever!
"Thank you, Lily," Orion rumbled. "You taught the Bull that true courage isn't about fighting—it's about caring."
Lily woke up in her bed as the sun peeked through her window. Had it all been a dream? She glanced at her wrist. Her bracelet was gone, replaced by a tiny stardust sparkle.
She smiled. Sometimes, the smallest heroes make the biggest difference—just by being kind.
