The Star Pyramid Secret
Mittens was no ordinary cat. While other cats chased mice and napped in sunbeams, Mittens chased dreams and napped on moonbeams. Every night, she climbed to the very top of the old oak tree and watched the stars, wondering what secrets they held.
One starry evening, something magical caught her eye. A tiny pyramid, no bigger than an acorn, glowed with rainbow light right in her garden. Mittens scrambled down the tree, her whiskers tingling with excitement.
The pyramid hummed with ancient power. When Mittens touched it with her paw, the pyramid opened like a flower blooming. Inside sat one sparkling pill—a star vitamin!
"Who disturbs my treasure?" A deep voice rumbled. Mittens jumped! Standing there was Barnaby, the farmer's bull. But he wasn't scary like everyone said. His eyes were kind, full of wisdom.
"I'm sorry," Mittens meowed. "I was curious."
Barnaby smiled. "Curiosity is good, little friend. This pyramid contains star vitamins from the Great Spirit. They give courage to those who need it most."
Mittens's heart fluttered. "Could... could I use one? I want to be brave like you!"
Barnaby nodded solemnly. "True courage isn't about being big or strong. It's about doing what's right, even when you're afraid. You already have that courage inside you."
He nudged the vitamin toward her. "But take this anyway. It will help you remember."
Mittens swallowed the star vitamin. Warmth spread through her, and suddenly she understood—she didn't need magic to be brave. She just needed friends like Barnaby to remind her of her own strength.
From that night on, Mittens and Barnaby were best friends. And every night, they sat together under the stars, sharing stories and star vitamins with anyone who needed a little courage.
Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is believe in yourself—and help others do the same.
