The Star Pyramid's Secret

Lily loved exploring her grandmother's attic. Rain drummed on the roof as she opened a dusty wooden box. Inside sat a tiny golden pyramid, no bigger than her thumb.

"What's this?" Lily whispered, turning the pyramid in her hands. Suddenly, it clicked open.

Out tumbled a miniature creature—a tiny bull with a coat like sunrise and a heart full of courage. He shook himself and grew until he stood as tall as Lily's knees.

"I'm Barnaby, Guardian of the Star Pyramid!" he announced with a proud snort. "And you've awakened me from a hundred-year nap!"

Lily's eyes widened. "A talking bull!"

"Not just any bull." Barnaby tapped his golden horn. "Inside this pyramid are Star Vitamins—magical candies that give you exactly what you need, when you need it most. But there's a catch: they only work if you use them to help someone else."

The attic door creaked. Lily's little brother Toby peeked in, tears in his eyes. "I lost my favorite teddy bear in the storm outside."

Lily looked at Barnaby. The bull nodded wisely. She reached into the pyramid and pulled out a sparkling blue Star Vitamin. It smelled like blueberry wishes.

"For courage," Barnaby whispered.

Lily ate the vitamin. Warmth spread through her chest. She felt brave, like she could do anything. "Let's go find your teddy, Toby!"

Armed with a flashlight and Barnaby's steady presence, Lily ventured into the rain. The Star Vitamin gave her sharp eyes—she spotted the bear stuck in a bush, shivering and wet.

When she brought it inside, Toby hugged her so tight she could barely breathe. "You're the bravest sister ever!"

Barnaby nudged Lily's hand. "See? The magic works best when shared."

Lily looked at the pyramid, then at her brother. "Do you think there's another Star Vitamin?"

"As many as you need," the bull promised, "as long as your heart stays kind."

That night, Lily learned the real secret: true magic isn't found in pyramids or vitamins. It's found in courage, kindness, and the love we share with others.

And Barnaby? He curled up at the foot of Lily's bed, ready for whatever adventure tomorrow might bring.
