The Star League's Secret Game

Leo had the wildest hair in town—curly and brown and always sticking up like he'd just woken from a wonderful dream. But Leo knew something nobody else did: his hair wasn't messy. It was magical.

Every night at bedtime, Leo's hair would tingle and point toward the window, as if saying, 'Follow me!' And every night, Leo would press his nose against the glass and watch.

That's when he saw it—the stars weren't just twinkling lights. They were playing baseball!

Orion's Belt caught a flying ball and threw it to the Big Dipper, who slid into home plate right past the North Star. The moon was the umpire, glowing bright whenever someone scored. Leo cheered silently from his window.

One warm July night, a home run ball—a shooting star!—came zizzling toward Earth. Leo's hair pulled him outside, running across the dark grass until he reached the old town park. And there, behind the swimming pool, Leo discovered something that made his knees shake.

A golden pyramid stood where the rusty slide should be.

'It's about time you found us,' said a voice like crickets humming. A small star creature hopped out from the pyramid's base. 'I'm Sirius, the Star League's best player. And that ball you chased? It was my lucky star-ball.'

Leo helped Sirius search through the swimming pool—where the star-ball had made a splash of sparkling light. They found it glowing at the bottom.

'Want to learn how stars really play?' Sirius asked. Leo's hair bounced YES.

That night, Leo learned the secret behind the pyramids, why his hair always pointed toward adventure, and how to catch a star-ball before it turned back into light. But most importantly, he learned that magic is real—you just have to know where to look.

Now when other kids ask about his messy hair, Leo just smiles. Someday, their hair will start pointing toward adventure too.
