The Star-Filled Hat
Lily loved exploring with her golden **dog**, Sunny. Every Saturday, they'd trek through Whispering Woods behind her house. But this Saturday was different.
"Come on, Sunny!" Lily called, adjusting her favorite blue **hat**—a gift from Grandma. The wide-brimmed hat had tiny silver threads that sparkled in sunlight.
They reached the Singing Creek, where water bubbled over smooth stones. Lily knelt to dip her hat in the cool **water**, planning to splash Sunny playfully. But as the hat touched the surface, something magical happened.
The water didn't just splash—it glowed!
Tiny lights swirled up from the creek, dancing around Lily's hat like fireflies. Inside the hat's brim, the water transformed into shimmering, colored drops.
"What IS this?" Lily whispered, eyes wide.
Sunny barked happily, tail wagging so hard his whole body wiggled.
An old turtle popped up from the creek. "Those are Magic **Vitamin** Drops," she said wisely. "Each color gives a different gift. Yellow for courage. Green for kindness. Purple for patience. But here's the secret—they only work when you give them away."
Lily looked at the glowing drops in her hat. She thought of her friend Tom, who was scared of swimming lessons. She thought of her sister, frustrated with homework. She thought of the new girl at school, lonely and shy.
"Take me to them," Lily told Sunny.
All afternoon, Lily and Sunny delivered magic drops. Tom's eyes lit up with yellow courage. The new girl's smile shone with green kindness. Even grumpy Mr. Henderson received a purple patience drop for his garden.
As the sun set, Lily's hat held one last drop—a rainbow swirl of all colors together.
"For you, Sunny," she said, dripping it onto his nose. He sneezed joyfully and licked her cheek.
Lily realized Grandma had known all along. The hat's magic wasn't in the water or the drops—it was in sharing them.
"Next weekend," Lily promised, "we'll collect more magic together."
