The Star-Cable Secret
Luna loved the old swimming pool behind her grandmother's house. But what she loved most was that at night, when the moon was bright, the water turned silver and shimmered like captured starlight.
One warm July evening, Luna noticed something she'd never seen before. A glowing cable, thin as a spider's thread but shining like spun moonlight, dangled from the sky and dipped right into the center of the pool. The cable pulsed with soft blue light, humming a gentle melody that made her think of lullabies.
Without thinking, Luna reached out and touched the cable.
WHOOSH!
Suddenly she was lifted into the air, rising higher and higher until she found herself floating in a magical place where the pool had become a giant mirror reflecting constellations. And there, standing beside the shimmering water, was the most magnificent creature she had ever seen.
It was a bull, but not like any bull on Earth. His massive body was made of swirling galaxies, his horns were crescent moons, and his eyes shone like twin supernovas. His hooves left prints of stardust wherever he stepped.
"Hello, little one," the bull rumbled, and his voice sounded like distant thunder wrapped in velvet. "I am Taurus, Keeper of the Celestial Pool. And you have discovered the star-cable that connects your world to mine."
"Why does the cable connect our pools?" Luna asked, her heart pounding with excitement.
Taurus sighed, and a small cloud of nebula mist escaped his nostrils. "Long ago, children from Earth shared their dreams with the stars through this magical pool. But the cable has grown weak. Soon the connection will break forever, and Earth's children will forget how to dream among the stars."
"What can we do?" Luna cried.
The star-bull smiled. "The cable needs the most powerful thing in the universe — not magic, not stardust, but a child's wonder. Hold the cable with both hands and make your most wonderful wish. If your heart is true, the connection will be renewed."
Luna grasped the glowing cable. She closed her eyes and wished with all her might: *I wish that every child could see the magic in ordinary things, just like I found magic in this pool.*
The cable blazed brighter than a thousand suns. The bull's galaxy body swirled with joy. When Luna opened her eyes, she was back beside her grandmother's pool, the water now shimmering more brilliantly than ever before.
That night, Luna made a promise to herself: she would never stop looking for magic in ordinary places. And somewhere in the stars, Taurus the celestial bull nodded his massive head, knowing the star-cable would glow for a thousand years more.
