The Star-Cable Bull
Lily loved the night sky. Every evening, she would press her nose against her bedroom window, watching the stars twinkle like tiny fireflies.
One magical night, she noticed something strange. A thick, shimmering cable stretched across the sky, connecting the North Star to the Moon. It glowed with soft rainbow light, pulsing like a heartbeat.
Suddenly, a magnificent bull appeared. His coat was the color of midnight blue, speckled with silver stars. His horns were made of moonlight, curved and gleaming. The bull was running along the cable, his hooves barely touching the shimmering line.
"Hello there!" Lily called, opening her window.
The bull stopped and looked at her with eyes like golden lanterns. "Hello, Lily. I'm Orion, the Star-Cable Runner."
"What are you doing?" Lily asked, amazed.
"I'm running star-cables across the sky to keep dreams flowing to children," Orion explained. "Tonight, the cable is extra slippery. I could use a friend's courage to help me."
Lily's heart raced. She climbed onto the windowsill, and Orion extended his moonlit horn. She touched it, and suddenly she was small enough to ride on his back!
Together they raced along the cable, soaring past constellations and comets. The wind sang songs in Lily's ears, and starlight tickled her nose. They delivered dreams of flying ponies, candy forests, and brave adventures to sleeping children everywhere.
"Thank you, Lily!" Orion said when they returned. "True courage isn't about being fearless. It's about being scared but still doing what's right."
Lily nodded, understanding. She had been scared to climb on the bull's back, but she had done it anyway to help others.
Every night after that, Lily would wave to Orion running across his star-cables. And sometimes, if she looked very carefully, she could see him delivering dreams with a special sparkle—the one that came from a brave girl's heart.
The moral: Even when you're scared, being brave helps others shine brighter.
