The Star-Cable and the Moon Bull
Luna was a small black cat with eyes like shiny yellow pennies. Every night, she sat on her windowsill, watching the stars twinkle. But one Tuesday, something strange happened.
A glowing blue cable fell from the sky and landed right in Luna's garden! It sparkled like captured moonlight. Being a curious cat, Luna tapped it with her paw. ZING! The cable hummed with magic.
Luna followed the cable up, up, up—past the rooftops, past the clouds, all the way to the moon! There, she found a giant bull made entirely of stardust. His horns glowed silver, and his eyes were deep crater pools.
"Hello, little friend," the Moon Bull rumbled gently. "I've been waiting for someone like you."
Luna blinked. She'd never had a friend who was a constellation before!
"My name is Taurus," said the bull. "For a thousand years, I've watched over dreamers. But tonight, my magic cable broke. Without it, children can't reach their dreams."
Luna saw the problem immediately. The cosmic cable had snapped!
"I can help," Luna meowed bravely. She may have been small, but her purr was powerful.
The bull smiled. "Together, we can fix anything."
Luna climbed onto Taurus's back. They zoomed through space, gathering stardust and comet tails. Luna wove them into the cable, while the bull held it steady. His golden kindness and her brave purr made the strongest magic.
SNAP! The cable mended instantly. Rainbow dreams poured down to Earth again.
"Thank you, Luna," said Taurus. "You proved that even the smallest friends can do the biggest things."
Luna purred all the way home. From that night on, she never felt alone. She had a friend in the stars—and every time children dreamed wonderful dreams, Luna knew she had helped them get there.
Sometimes the best friends are the ones you least expect, and the bravest heroes are the smallest ones.
