The Star Bull's Secret Sky

Lily had the messiest hair in town. It bounced when she walked and poofed when she ran. But she didn't mind. Her crazy curls were perfect for midnight adventures.

Every night, Lily would tiptoe to her window and spy on the stars. She knew them all by name. Orion with his shiny belt. The Big Dipper, always ready to scoop up dreams. And Taurus the bull, shining bright and golden.

One starry evening, something magical happened. Lily leaned too far out her window, and suddenly—whoosh! She wasn't just watching the sky anymore. She was swimming through it!

The air sparkled like glittery water. Lily kicked her legs and glided past constellations that twinkled hello. She swam deeper and deeper until she reached the brightest gold star she'd ever seen.

It was Taurus the bull, but not just a constellation. He was real! His golden coat shimmered like honey. His giant horns curved like moon crescents.

"I've seen you spying on me," Taurus said, his voice warm and rumbly like thunder from far away. "My name is Barley, and I'm the loneliest bull in the sky. All the other stars have visitors. Only you ever watch me."

Lily's heart squeezed. "I wasn't trying to be sneaky. I just think you're beautiful."

Barley's eyes twinkled. "Would you like to see my favorite galaxy?"

Lily nodded so hard her curls bounced. Barley lowered his giant golden back, and she climbed on. They swam through purple nebulae and past comets that whooshed like sparklers. They raced shooting stars and danced with meteor showers.

"This is the best adventure ever!" Lily cheered.

Barley smiled. "Thank you for seeing me, Lily. Friendship is the brightest magic of all."

When morning approached, Barley carried Lily back to her window. "Come back anytime, friend."

Lily snuggled into bed, her hair still full of starlight. She had gone spying for stars but found something better: a friend who made the whole galaxy feel like home.

From then on, whenever Lily looked up at Taurus shining in the night sky, she knew her friend was winking back, and her heart would glow like stardust.
