The Star Bull's Secret Pool

Lily loved gazing at the stars from her bedroom window. Every night, she would whisper wishes to the brightest one. One evening, a shimmering bull made of stardust stepped down from the sky!

The star bull had golden fur that twinkled like tiny galaxies and magnificent horns that glowed with moonlight. Its long, flowing hair—mane and tail—streamed behind it like rivers of silver light.

"I need your help," the bull said in a voice like wind chimes. "My friend the Moon Turtle is fading. Only the waters of the Secret Pool can save her."

Lily climbed onto the bull's back, and they soared through constellations. They passed the Hunter's Arrow and the Dancing Bears until they reached a hidden cave deep in the forest.

Inside, the Secret Pool glowed with every color imaginable. Fish made of rainbows swam in its depths. But guarding it stood a grumpy stone giant.

"Only those with a true heart may enter," the giant rumbled.

Lily thought hard. "I don't have gold or jewels," she said, "but I have friendship. I'll help you clean your cave! I'll sing you songs! I'll visit every night!"

The giant's stony face softened. "No one has offered friendship before."

He stepped aside. Lily and the star bull filled a crystal vial with the magical pool water. They hurried back to the sky, where the Moon Turtle grew stronger with every drop.

"Thank you for teaching me that kindness is the strongest magic," the star bull said, giving Lily a strand of its starry hair. "Keep this, and you'll always find your way back to me."

Lily still has that magical hair. Some nights, when the moon is full, she whispers to the stars, and the Star Bull winks back, reminding her that true friendship is the greatest adventure of all.
