The Star-Bull's Secret Pool

Lily loved exploring her grandmother's backyard, especially the old swimming pool that hadn't held water in years. But one magical summer evening, as the sun painted the sky in shades of apricot and lavender, something extraordinary happened.

The empty pool suddenly filled with sparkling water that glowed like liquid diamonds. At its center, a crystal pyramid rose from the depths, its facets catching the last rays of sunlight. Lily's heart raced with wonder as she leaned closer.

A magnificent creature emerged from the pyramid — not a scary monster, but a star-bull with fur that shimmered like the night sky and horns made of polished moonlight. His eyes held the warmth of a thousand friendly fires.

"I've been waiting for someone brave enough to believe in magic," the bull said, his voice deep and gentle, like distant thunder wrapped in velvet.

Lily wasn't afraid. She sensed only kindness in his presence. "Who are you?"

"I am Orion, guardian of the Wishing Pool," he explained. "Every hundred years, the pyramid opens for one pure heart. The pool grants courage to those who share it with others."

Orion told her about children who were afraid to try new things, to make friends, or to stand up for what was right. "But magic shared is magic multiplied," he said wisely. "The pool's power grows when used for good."

Lily thought of her friend Marco, who was too scared to join the school talent show. "I wish for courage — not just for me, but for everyone who needs it."

The pyramid pulsed with brilliant light. Orion smiled as thousands of golden sparks burst from the pool, shooting upward like tiny stars to scatter across the night sky. "Your wish will travel on the wind, touching hearts near and far."

He pressed his moonlight horn against her forehead. "Remember, little one: true bravery isn't about not being scared. It's about being scared and doing what's right anyway."

The pool began to fade, but Lily didn't feel sad. She carried something magical within her now — the knowledge that kindness shared creates the strongest magic of all.

That night, Marco called, excited about auditioning for the talent show. And somehow, Lily knew the star-bull's pyramid magic was already at work, one wish at a time.
