The Star Bull's Secret Pool

Leo loved exploring behind his grandfather's old barn. One sunny afternoon, he spotted something strange—a glittering golden cable that seemed to glow from within, half-buried in the tall grass. Being an adventurous boy of eight, he couldn't resist giving it a gentle tug.

The cable pulsed with warmth, and Leo followed it through a thicket of blackberry bushes until it disappeared into a small cave behind the waterfall. Carefully, he squeezed through the rocks and gasped in wonder.

Inside was the most beautiful pool he had ever seen. The water shimmered like liquid diamonds, casting rainbow reflections on the stone walls. But what made Leo's jaw drop was what stood in the center of the magical pool—a magnificent bull made entirely of starlight, its coat twinkling like the night sky.

"Hello, young friend," the Star Bull spoke, and its voice sounded like distant bells. "I am Taurus, guardian of the sky pool. For a thousand years, I've watched over children's dreams from above. But tonight, during the Falling Stars Festival, I slipped and fell."

Leo noticed the Star Bull's leg was caught in something—a frayed old cable that had snared it from above.

"I can help!" Leo said without hesitation. He waded into the sparkling water, which felt like a warm hug around his legs. Using both hands, he untangled the ancient cable from the starry bull's ankle.

"Thank you," Taurus said gratefully. "You showed kindness even to a stranger. That is the greatest magic of all." The bull lowered its magnificent head. "Climb on my back, little friend. I'll show you something wonderful."

Leo scrambled onto the Star Bull's back, and together they rose through a hidden opening in the cave ceiling, soaring into the evening sky. Below, Leo could see his entire town, tiny and peaceful. Above, the stars seemed to dance around them.

"Whenever you need courage," Taurus told him, "look for my constellation in the night sky. I'll be watching over you, my brave friend."

When Leo opened his eyes again, he was back beside the waterfall, the golden cable gone. But in his pocket shone a small star-shaped stone, still glowing warmly. That night, Leo looked up at the constellation Taurus and whispered, "Thank you, friend." The brightest star in the bull's eye seemed to wink back at him.

From that day on, Leo learned that the bravest adventures begin with kindness—and that magic exists everywhere for those willing to look for it.
