The Star Bull's Secret Friend

Lily loved the night sky. Every evening, she would press her nose against her bedroom window, counting stars and making wishes. One starry night, she saw something extraordinary—a great, glowing bull made of stardust, walking across the sky!

"I'll be a spy," Lily whispered to herself, grabbing her toy binoculars. "I'll discover what the Star Bull is doing!"

She crept downstairs in her fuzzy slippers and tiptoed into the garden. The Star Bull was there, his silver hooves leaving sparkly footprints on the grass. His horns were made of moonlight, and his eyes shone like two friendly golden coins.

"Hello, little friend," the Star Bull said softly. His voice sounded like wind chimes. "I've been waiting for someone to notice me."

Lily's eyes grew wide. "You can talk? What are you doing here?"

"I collect lost wishes," explained the Star Bull. "Children make wishes that float away, forgotten. I gather them and make them come true... but only for children who believe in magic."

Suddenly, dark clouds gathered overhead. CRACK! BOOM! Lightning flashed across the sky, purple and green and gold. But Lily wasn't scared.

"The Storm Giants are awake!" the Star Bull said. "They're trying to steal the wishes! Will you help me protect them?"

Lily nodded bravely. Together, she and the Star Bull chased the Storm Giants away. The lightning became beautiful ribbons of light, dancing around them. When the sky cleared, the Star Bull's coat sparkled brighter than ever.

"Thank you, friend," the Star Bull said. "For your bravery, you may make one wish."

Lily thought carefully. "I wish that every child could have a magical friend like you."

The Star Bull smiled. His entire body began to glow, and hundreds of tiny stars floated down from his back, drifting toward houses all over the world. Each star carried a piece of magic friendship.

"It is done," said the Star Bull. "And you, Lily—you'll always be able to see magic in the world."

From that night on, Lily noticed magic everywhere: in rainbows, in butterfly wings, in kind smiles between strangers. And sometimes, if she looked very carefully at the night sky, she would see her friend the Star Bull, still collecting lost wishes and making them come true.

The moral? Magic is real for those who believe, and the best wishes are the ones we make for others.
