The Star Bull's Secret

bullhairfriend

Luna was different from other children. Her hair shimmered like moonlight, glowing softly when she was happy. Children whispered about it, and Luna often hid under her favorite oak tree, wishing she could be just like everyone else.

One evening, as golden light painted the sky, Luna heard a sad snuffling sound. Following it into the meadow, she gasped. Standing among the wildflowers was the most magnificent creature she had ever seen—a massive white bull with horns that sparkled like diamonds and fur that seemed to hold the night sky itself, complete with tiny twinkling stars.

The bull looked at her with wise, gentle eyes. Luna's hair glowed brighter than ever before.

"I am Taurus," the bull spoke, his voice like distant thunder. "I fell from the sky when my star grew dim. Without my light, the constellation cannot guide travelers home."

Luna's heart ached for him. "How can I help?"

"My star needs pure kindness to shine again," Taurus explained sadly. "But I have been alone so long, I had forgotten what kindness feels like."

Luna stepped closer and rested her hand on his starry flank. Her hair glowed warm and golden, wrapping around them both like a blanket of light. She told him stories, shared her picnic dinner, and promised to visit every day.

Each afternoon, Luna returned. They watched clouds, counted butterflies, and Taurus told her tales of the constellations—the hunter chasing the scorpion, the twins dancing across the night sky, the great bear protecting her cub.

"You are my true friend," Taurus said one evening. And as the words left his mouth, his star burst into brilliant light, stronger than ever before.

Taurus began to float upward, his hooves leaving the ground. But he didn't disappear into the sky alone. With a joyful nod, he invited Luna to join him.

Together they soared among the constellations, Luna's hair streaming like a comet's tail. From that night on, whenever children looked up at Taurus shining particularly bright, they knew Luna was visiting her friend, and that somewhere in the stars, a girl with moonlight hair and a starry bull were dancing among the galaxies—proof that the truest magic of all is the friendship we share.
