The Star Bull's Secret
Lily loved lying on her grassy hill at night, watching the stars sparkle like spilled diamond dust. One warm summer evening, something magical happened. The brightest star in the sky began to wiggle, then stretched into a glowing streak that landed right beside her.
To her wonder, the light formed into a magnificent bull made of pure starlight. His fur shone like moonbeams, and his horns were shaped like crescent moons.
"I am Taurus," said the star bull, his voice sounding like wind chimes. "I need your help. The Great Sphinx has lost her riddle, and without it, the sky pyramid will collapse!"
"Sky pyramid?" Lily gasped.
"Yes! It's made of constellations and holds the whole galaxy together. But the Sphinx's riddle is the key that keeps it strong. Will you come with me?"
Lily nodded, her heart fluttering like a captured butterfly. The star bull lowered his glowing back, and she climbed on.
WHOOSH! They soared through the clouds, past swirling nebulas, until they reached a magnificent golden pyramid floating in space. Its sides sparkled with constellations, but the top was crumbling!
At the base sat the Sphinx, her lion body tense, her human face sad. Her wings drooped.
"I've forgotten my riddle," she mourned. "And without it, the pyramid will fall."
Lily thought hard. "What if... what if we make a NEW riddle together?"
The Sphinx's eyes widened. "Children have the best imaginations! Yes, let's try!"
So Lily, the star bull, and the Sphinx brainstormed. They made a riddle about friendship and starlight, about adventure and helping others. When they spoke it together, the pyramid blazed with golden light, rebuilding itself stronger than before.
"Thank you," the Sphinx purred. "You taught me something wonderful. The answer wasn't in the old riddle. It was in making a new one together—with friendship."
Lily rode Taurus back home, tucked into bed, and knew that sometimes the best adventures are the ones where friends help each other solve problems together.
