The Star Bull's Palm Promise
Leo lived on a small island where the only excitement was counting waves. But everything changed the day he found the hat.
It washed up on shore—shimmering silver with a single star stitched on the brim. When Leo put it on, something magical happened. The sky above him split open like a curtain, revealing a hidden world among the stars.
"Hello down there!" called a voice.
Leo looked up to see a girl sitting on a fluffy cloud. She had skin like moonlight and hair that flowed like a river of night.
"I'm Luna," she said. "Want to be friends?"
Leo's heart swelled. He'd never had a friend before. "Yes!"
Luna reached down her palm. When their hands touched, Leo floated upward, leaving his island far below.
In the sky kingdom, everything glowed. Trees made of crystal chimed like bells. Rivers flowed with liquid starlight. But Luna looked sad.
"The Great Bull is lost," she explained. "He's the guardian who protects dreamers. Without him, children everywhere have stopped believing in magic."
Leo spotted a pattern in the stars—the shape of a bull, faded and flickering like a dying candle.
"How can we help?" Leo asked.
"You need to believe," Luna said. "The hat chose you because your imagination is stronger than you know."
Leo closed his eyes and remembered all the adventures he'd pretended to go on while sitting alone on his beach. He imagined saving worlds, exploring galaxies, making friends everywhere.
The star bull's shape blazed brighter. It transformed from stars into a magnificent creature with golden horns and a coat of nebula fur. The bull lowered its head to Leo.
"Thank you for believing," the bull rumbled like distant thunder. "Dreamers need defenders. Will you help me protect them?"
Leo grabbed Luna's hand. "Together."
And that's how Leo became a Guardian of Dreams, protecting the magic of imagination for every child who's ever felt lonely. The hat stays on his head, the friend stays by his side, and every night, the Great Bull rides across the sky, reminding dreamers everywhere: magic is real, as long as you believe.
