The Star Bull's Orange Pyramid

Lily loved helping her grandfather at his small grocery store. Every afternoon, she would carefully stack the oranges into a gleaming pyramid, just the way he had taught her. 'Make them strong,' Grandpa would say, 'so they can hold up the sky.' Lily giggled, but she always built her orange pyramid with extra care.

One Tuesday, as the last orange was placed, something magical happened. The pyramid began to glow with a soft, golden light. Lily stepped back in surprise—and a magnificent bull stepped out of the oranges! But this wasn't an ordinary bull. His fur shimmered like starlight, and his horns were made of moonbeams.

'I am the Star Bull,' he said in a deep, kind voice. 'For a hundred years, I've been waiting for someone to build the orange pyramid with enough love to wake me.'

Lily's eyes widened. 'Are you magic?'

'I bring adventure,' the Star Bull smiled. 'Climb on my back, and I'll show you something wonderful.'

Lily had never been so brave in her whole life. She climbed onto the starry bull's back, and suddenly they were running—not on the ground, but through the sky! They raced past clouds painted pink and orange by the setting sun. They soared over mountains that looked like ice cream scoops. They chased comets that left trails of sparkling dust.

'Do you know why oranges are so important?' the Star Bull called as they ran. 'They're filled with sunshine vitamins! When children eat them, they grow strong enough to follow their dreams.'

'But I don't like oranges that much,' Lily admitted.

The Star Bull chuckled. 'That's because you've never tasted magical ones!' He landed gently on a cloud, where tiny orange creatures danced around a beautiful fountain. 'These are Sunshine Oranges. One bite makes you brave. Two bites make you kind. Three bites make you wise.'

Lily took a small bite. Suddenly, she understood something important: she had always been brave. The orange just helped her see it.

When the Star Bull returned her to the grocery store, Grandpa was just waking up from his nap. 'Did you sell all the oranges, Lily?' he asked sleepily.

Lily smiled, touching her pocket where she kept three special seeds. 'Not yet, Grandpa. But I learned that building something with love is the most powerful magic of all.'

That night, Lily planted the seeds by her window. She knew that one day, they would grow into something extraordinary. And every time she ate an orange after that, she remembered: real magic comes from inside yourself, just waiting to wake up.
