The Star-Bull's Midnight Swim

Lily loved spending summer nights at her grandmother's farm. One evening, she couldn't sleep, so she crept outside to watch the stars. The old barn caught something magical in the moonlight – a gentle creature with a coat like midnight and horns that glowed like captured stars.

"Hello there," Lily whispered, approaching slowly. To her surprise, the creature nuzzled her hand with a soft, velvety nose. "You're not like regular bulls, are you?" The creature shook its magnificent head and made a sound like wind chimes.

"My name is Stella," the bull seemed to say without speaking. "And I've been waiting for you, Lily. Would you like to see something wonderful?" Before Lily could answer, Stella lowered her powerful body. "Climb on my back. We're going swimming!"

"Swimming? But there's no water here!" Lily laughed, curiosity bubbling in her chest.

"Not water-swimming," Stella winked, her eyes twinkling like the Milky Way. "Star-swimming!" With a gentle leap, they soared into the night sky!

Lily gasped as they left Earth behind. Stars weren't just tiny dots anymore – they were glowing pearls, floating in an ocean of indigo. Stella swam through constellations, her midnight coat blending perfectly with space. Lily trailed her fingers through ribbons of stardust that felt like warm honey.

"This is amazing!" Lily shouted. "Can we visit that star?" She pointed to a particularly bright one.

"That's actually a planet," Stella explained. "And that bright star over there? That's your grandmother's favorite. She used to swim with me when she was little, just like you."

Lily's eyes grew wide. "Grandma?"

"Being a friend to star-bulls runs in your family," Stella said proudly. "Every generation, someone special discovers our secret midnight adventures. You're the first in thirty years!"

They swam past shooting stars, through galaxies that looked like swirling rainbow paint, and visited constellations that told ancient stories. Lily learned that the Big Dipper was actually a giant's drinking cup, and Orion's Belt held up his magical pants.

"Time to return, little friend," Stella said softly as dawn approached. "But remember – true friendship is like starlight. It connects hearts across distances, just like constellations connect stars across the sky."

Back in her bed, Lily discovered something sparkling in her pocket – a perfect star pearl that glowed softly. It was her secret, forever proof that magic existed for those with brave hearts and curious minds.

From that night on, Lily noticed bull-shaped clouds swimming across blue skies. She'd wave, knowing her friend was watching, waiting for their next midnight adventure among the stars.
