The Star Bull's Baseball Game

Lily loved baseball more than anything. Every afternoon, she'd practice in her backyard, throwing her ball high into the sky and dreaming of magical adventures.

One evening, as the sun painted the clouds orange, Lily threw her ball higher than ever before. It didn't come down. Instead, it kept going up, up, up, until it disappeared into a mysterious pyramid that had appeared among the stars!

Without thinking, Lily grabbed her favorite orange from the kitchen and tossed it after the ball. Pop! The orange transformed into a glowing staircase leading straight to the starry pyramid.

Climbing higher and higher, Lily finally reached the top. There sat a magnificent creature—a bull made entirely of twinkling stars and silver moonlight. His horns curved like crescent moons, and his eyes sparkled like diamonds.

"You found my secret playground!" the Star Bull rumbled gently. "I've been watching you play baseball every day. I've always wanted to learn."

Lily's eyes widened. "You want to play baseball? With me?"

"More than anything!" The Star Bull's tail swished excitedly, trailing comet dust. "But I can't come down to Earth. I'm too heavy! I'd crash through houses and trees."

Lily smiled. "Then we'll play here!"

And so they did. The Star Bull was a natural. When he hit the ball with his hoof, it soared through galaxies and skimmed past constellations. Lily laughed until her sides hurt as they played the most wonderful baseball game ever played.

"You're my best friend," Lily whispered as the night deepened.

"And you're mine," said the Star Bull, nuzzling her hand with his velvety nose. "Every night, when you see the pyramid of stars, throw up your orange. I'll be waiting."

Now Lily has two homes—one on Earth, and one among the stars where a magical bull waits to play their favorite game under the watchful eyes of a million twinkling friends.
