The Star-Bear's Golden Pyramid
Lila loved gazing at stars from her window. Every night, she wished something magical would happen.
One evening, while running through the meadow chasing fireflies, she noticed something twinkling near the old oak tree. It wasn't a firefly. It was a small bear made of stardust, with fur that shimmered like silver moonlight.
"I'm Orion," the bear squeaked, "and I need your help!"
Lila knelt down. "What kind of help?"
Orion pointed a glowing paw toward the forest. "I'm building a pyramid to catch falling stars. But I can't finish it alone. Every hundred years, star-bears need to rebuild the Star Pyramid, or stars will fade from the sky."
Lila's eyes grew wide. "But that would mean no more wishes!"
"Exactly!" Orion nodded. "The pyramid must be finished by sunrise, and I'm just one little bear."
Without hesitation, Lila grabbed her jacket. "I'll help!"
Deep in the forest stood a magnificent structure—a pyramid made of crystal cubes that hummed with ancient magic. Orion explained that each cube needed to be placed perfectly to catch starlight.
They worked side by side, running back and forth carrying glowing crystals. Lila's legs grew tired, but every time she looked at Orion's determined face, she found new energy.
"Almost there!" Orion called as the first purple light of dawn appeared.
The final crystal hovered in place. The pyramid began to glow, sending beams of light shooting into the sky. Stars twinkled brighter than ever before.
"We did it!" Lila cheered, hugging her stardust friend.
Orion's silver fur turned golden with pride. "Thank you, Lila. You proved that even small helpers can do big things."
That night, as Lila gazed at the stars, she noticed one twinkling extra brightly—Orion's way of saying thank you. And whenever she felt like something was too big to handle alone, she remembered: sometimes the magic just needs someone willing to help.
