The Spinach-Sparked Secret
Leo pushed the green leaves around his plate with a fork. "Spinach again?" he sighed. But his mom just smiled and said, "It's full of vitamin magic, Leo!"
That night, Leo dreamed of a meadow he'd never seen—a place where stars dangled like golden apples from silver trees. In the dream, he found himself running through grass that shimmered with every color of the rainbow. The faster he ran, the more the ground beneath him glowed, leaving trails of sparkles like tiny comets.
Suddenly, a massive creature appeared—a bull with fur the color of moonlight and horns that spiraled like cinnamon sticks. But this bull didn't charge. Instead, it spoke in a voice like gentle thunder, "You've finally come, Leo. We've been waiting."
"Waiting? For me?" Leo's eyes went wide. "Who are you?"
"I'm Barnaby," the bull said with a wink. "And you're my new friend."
Barnaby explained that the meadow was the Land of Hidden Powers, where special foods gave children extraordinary abilities. "But you can only find this place when you eat what's good for you—even when it tastes like leaves."
Leo's face turned red. "You mean the spinach?"
"Exactly!" Barnaby's laugh made tiny flowers bloom in the grass. "That vitamin inside spinach is actually magic dust! Now you can run faster than any kid in school, talk to animals, and see secret worlds."
Leo woke up with his heart pounding. At breakfast, he stared at the spinach on his plate. Then he smiled, took a big bite, and felt something tingle in his toes—a tiny, magical sparkle that made him wonder what other secrets were hiding in his food.
From that day on, Leo never complained about spinach again. And sometimes, when he ran really fast across the playground, his friends swore they saw little sparkles trailing behind his feet, like tiny stars dancing in the sunshine.
