The Spinach Pyramid Secret
Lily loved her grandmother's garden. Every afternoon, she'd chase butterflies and help pick vegetables for dinner. But one Tuesday, something magical happened.
Behind the tall tomato plants, Lily discovered something she'd never noticed before—a small golden pyramid, no bigger than a lunchbox, glowing softly in the sunlight. Curious, she reached out to touch it.
The pyramid suddenly popped open like a treasure chest! Inside sat the tiniest dragon she'd ever seen, no larger than a strawberry.
"Hello!" said the dragon, puffing a little rainbow-colored smoke ring. "I've been waiting for a friend."
Lily giggled. "I'm Lily. What's your name?"
"Pyro," the dragon said proudly. "And I'm the guardian of the Magic Spinach Seeds."
"Spinach?" Lily wrinkled her nose. "I don't like spinach."
Pyro's emerald eyes twinkled. "Ah, but this is special spinach. One bite makes you strong enough to lift your bicycle over your head. Two bites let you understand what animals are saying. Three bites... well, that's still a secret!"
He offered Lily a shimmering green seed from inside the pyramid. She planted it carefully in grandmother's garden patch. Within minutes, a bright green plant shot up, bursting with leaves that sparkled like tiny stars.
Grandmother came outside and gasped. "Lily! Where did that come from?"
Before Lily could explain, Pyro whispered, "Only the young can see the magic. Adults just see ordinary vegetables."
That evening, Lily tried one bite of the magical spinach. Suddenly, her cat Mittens meowed, and Lily understood perfectly: "The fish tonight was excellent, thank you for asking."
From that day on, Lily visited Pyro every afternoon. She learned that magic wasn't about flashy spells—it was about the wonder of discovery and the joy of sharing secrets with a friend.
And sometimes, just sometimes, she'd share a piece of magical spinach with other children who needed a little extra strength or a special adventure.
After all, the best magic is the kind you share with friends.
