The Spinach Pyramid

Lily hated spinach. Every dinner, her mom said, "Eat your greens, they'll make you strong!" But Lily only wanted dessert.

One rainy afternoon, while playing games on her dad's old iPhone, Lily discovered something strange. A tiny green pyramid appeared on the screen, glowing like an emerald star. When she tapped it, a sparkle whooshed through the room, and suddenly Lily wasn't in her bedroom anymore.

She stood in a magnificent jungle where everything was green and shimmering. Before her rose a pyramid made entirely of spinach leaves—crisp, bright, and magical. At the top sat a enormous brown bear wearing a golden crown.

"Welcome!" called the bear, sliding down the spinach pyramid like it was a playground slide. "I'm King Bruno, and this is the Kingdom of Growing Strong!"

Lily's eyes widened. "You can talk?"

"In this magical land, everything that makes you strong can speak," Bruno winked. "Come, let me show you something wonderful!"

He led her to a pool filled with sparkling water. "This is the Swimming Pool of Courage. Every time you try something new, you grow braver. Are you brave enough to swim with a bear?"

Lily hesitated. She'd just started learning to swim, and the deep water scared her. But Bruno's kind eyes gave her courage.

"I'll try," she whispered.

They splashed into the water together. Bruno held her hands as she kicked her legs. "You're doing it! You're swimming!" he cheered. "Do you feel how strong you're getting?"

Lily laughed, realizing she wasn't afraid anymore. She was swimming!

"Spinach gives you strong muscles," Bruno explained, "but trying new things makes your heart strong. That's the real secret."

When Lily opened her eyes, she was back in her room, the iPhone dark beside her. At dinner that night, when her mom served spinach, Lily didn't complain. She took a big bite and smiled.

"This makes me strong," she said, "like a bear!"

And every time she tried something scary after that, she remembered King Bruno's words: True strength isn't just about what you eat—it's about being brave enough to try.
