The Sphinx Who Loved Spinach
Lily loved exploring her grandmother's magical garden. One sunny afternoon, she noticed something peculiar behind the giant **palm** tree. A small stone creature was sleeping peacefully. It was a baby **sphinx**!
The sphinx stretched and yawned, blinking its golden eyes at Lily. "I'm Zara," she said in a voice like wind chimes. "I've been asleep for three hundred years!"
Lily's eyes widened. "What do sphinxes eat?"
Zara's nose wiggled. "**Spinach**! Fresh, crunchy, magical spinach from your grandmother's garden."
They became best friends. Every day, Lily brought Zara spinach leaves, and Zara taught Lily ancient riddles and secrets of the stars. But Zara was lonely. She missed playing games with other sphinxes.
"What games did you play?" Lily asked.
"**Padel**!" Zara exclaimed. "It's like tennis, but you hit the ball against walls. Do you know how to play?"
Lily's grandfather had a padel court! The next morning, Lily brought Zara to the court. At first, Zara was clumsy. Her wings got in the way, and she kept tripping over her paws. But Lily was patient. She showed Zara how to hold the racket, how to swing, and how to laugh when she missed.
By sunset, Zara was hitting the ball beautifully. Her golden fur glowed with happiness. "Thank you, Lily," Zara said, nuzzling her friend's cheek. "You taught me that trying new things is better than being perfect."
From that day on, Lily and Zara played padel every afternoon. And whenever they needed extra energy, they shared a big bowl of magical spinach together. Sometimes the best friendships come from the most unexpected places, especially when you're willing to try something new.
