The Sphinx Who Loved Oranges

In the golden sand of Egypt, where the great pyramids touch the sky, there lived a little sphinx named Leo. But Leo was not like the other sphinxes. The big sphinxes sat still as stone, asking riddles to travelers. Leo? Leo loved to dance!

One warm evening, Leo spotted something amazing—a grove of palm trees swaying in the breeze, their leaves like green fingers waving hello. But what made Leo gasp were the bright orange fruits hanging from the trees, glowing like tiny suns in the twilight.

"What are those?" Leo wondered, scampering closer on soft paws.

An old tortoise named Zara slowly lifted her head. "Those are sweet oranges, little one. They taste like sunshine and laughter."

Leo's whiskers twitched. The other sphinxes would say, 'Sphinxes don't eat fruit! We only ask riddles!' But Leo felt different inside. Leo wanted to taste the magic.

Climbing the palm tree with claws gentle as butterfly wings, Leo reached for the lowest branch. The rough bark tickled. The leaves rustled a secret. And there—perfect and round—hung the most beautiful orange Leo had ever seen.

When Leo bit into it, juice burst like sweet fireworks! It tasted like adventure!

"You're not like other sphinxes," Zara said with a wise smile. "And that's wonderful. The world needs sphinxes who climb trees and taste new things."

That night, Leo did something no sphinx had ever done. Leo gathered more oranges and shared them with the tired travelers who couldn't solve riddles. Instead of tricky questions, Leo gave them something sweet.

And every night after, beneath the moon and the palm trees, Leo the orange-loving sphinx made new friends—one magical fruit at a time.

Because the best adventures are the ones where you dare to be yourself.
