The Sphinx's Special Lunch

Lily loved exploring her grandmother's attic. One rainy afternoon, she found something extraordinary hidden behind old boxes—a miniature golden pyramid that glowed like sunshine.

When Lily touched it, the pyramid grew bigger and bigger until she could step inside. The walls sparkled with ancient symbols. Suddenly, she heard a gentle voice.

"Welcome, young explorer."

Lily turned around and gasped. Before her stood a magnificent sphinx with the body of a lion and the face of a kind woman. Her golden hair flowed like a river of light.

"I am Serena," the sphinx said. "I've been waiting for someone brave enough to visit me."

Lily's eyes widened. "Why have you been waiting?"

"I have a problem," Serena sighed. "My magical cable—the one that connects this pyramid to the world of dreams—is broken. And I'm too big to fix it."

The cable hung loose from the ceiling, its silver threads tangled and sad.

"Can I help?" Lily asked, her heart beating fast with excitement.

"Perhaps," Serena said thoughtfully. "But first, you must be strong. Are you hungry?"

Lily's tummy rumbled. Suddenly, a plate appeared with the greenest, freshest spinach she had ever seen. But it wasn't regular spinach—it sparkled with tiny stars.

"This is Dream Spinach," Serena explained. "One bite will give you the strength of ten lions."

Lily took a bite. CRUNCH! Energy zipped through her like lightning. She felt stronger, braver, and lighter than air.

With Serena's guidance, Lily climbed the pyramid walls. Her fingers worked quickly, untangling the silver cable and weaving it back together. The sphinx cheered her on, her golden hair shimmering with encouragement.

When Lily finished, the cable hummed with magic. The pyramid filled with rainbow colors.

"You did it!" Serena beamed. "Because of your courage and kindness, children everywhere will have sweet dreams tonight."

Lily felt warm all over. She had discovered something magical: helping others felt even better than any adventure.

As she stepped back into her grandmother's attic, Lily knew this wasn't her last magical journey. And she would never look at spinach the same way again.
