The Sphinx's Silver Friend
Lily loved exploring her grandmother's attic. One rainy afternoon, she found something strange — a shiny silver iPhone tucked inside an old wooden box. It didn't look like regular phones. It glowed with a soft golden light!
Beside it lay a thick cable that sparkled like rainbow candy. Lily's heart raced with excitement. She plugged the cable into the iPhone, and suddenly WHOOSH! The attic spun around her like a magic carousel.
When everything stopped, Lily gasped. She stood in a desert under twinkling stars. Right in front of her rose a magnificent pyramid made of shimmering crystal that changed colors like soap bubbles.
"Welcome, young friend!" rumbled a gentle voice.
Lily looked up. A giant sphinx smiled down at her. He wasn't scary at all — his lion body was golden as sunshine, and his human face was kind.
"I've waited centuries for someone to find the magic cable," the sphinx said. "I'm Sol, guardian of the Crystal Pyramid. Inside lives all the world's forgotten dreams."
Sol explained that long ago, children left their dreams inside the pyramid for safekeeping. But over time, people forgot how to reach it. The magic iPhone and cable were the only keys.
"Will you help me?" Sol asked. "The dreams are lonely. They need someone to believe in them again."
Lily's eyes shined. "Yes! What do I do?"
She tapped the iPhone screen. Words appeared: *What dream lives in your heart?*
Lily thought hard. "I wish... I wish every child could have a friend who listens."
The pyramid glowed brighter. A warm breeze swirled around them. Tiny sparks of light floated out — these were the dreams! They danced around Lily like fireflies.
"Your wish is pure," Sol said, smiling. "Now, whenever children feel lonely, they'll remember they're never truly alone."
Lily hugged Sol's giant paw. "I'll never forget you."
She held the cable tight, WHOOSH, and found herself back in the attic. The iPhone still glowed softly.
That night, Lily made a promise. She'd always listen to friends who needed it. And sometimes, when she held the magic cable close, she could almost hear Sol's gentle rumble, reminding her that kindness is the strongest magic of all.
