The Sphinx's Secret Vitamin

Lily loved running through the Whispering Woods, her feet padding softly on the mossy path. One sunny morning, she spotted something extraordinary—a golden sphinx perched on a crystal rock, its wings shimmering like rainbows.

"Hello, little one," the sphinx spoke in a voice like tinkling bells. "I've been waiting for someone brave enough to help me."

Lily's eyes widened. "What do you need?"

"I've lost my special vitamin," the sphinx explained sadly. "It's not an ordinary vitamin from a bottle. It's the Vitamin of Wonder, and it keeps my magic alive. Without it, I'll turn into stone forever."

"Where did you last see it?" Lily asked, already running in place with excitement.

"The Moonberry Patch," said the sphinx. "But be careful—the path is tricky."

Lily set off, running past giggling streams and trees that waved hello. She found the Moonberry Patch glowing softly under silver leaves. There, nestled among purple berries, sparkled a tiny crystal star—the Vitamin of Wonder!

As she reached for it, a grumpy gnome appeared. "None shall pass without answering my riddle!"

Lily thought hard. "I love riddles! I'm ready!"

"What has to be broken before you can use it?" the gnome challenged.

Lily smiled. "An egg!"

"Correct!" The gnome stepped aside, and Lily grabbed the glowing vitamin.

She ran back as fast as her legs could carry her, the Vitamin of Wonder lighting her way. The sphinx's eyes sparkled with joy as Lily placed the crystal star on its paw.

"Thank you, brave friend," the sphinx said, its golden feathers glowing brighter than ever. "You've taught me something important—the real Vitamin of Wonder isn't magic at all. It's friendship and kindness."

Lily grinned, running home with her heart full of magic. Some adventures, she realized, are the best kind of vitamin for your soul.
