The Sphinx's Secret Vitamin
Lily loved exploring the dusty attic of her grandmother's old house. One rainy afternoon, she found something peculiar: a shiny brass cable that seemed to hum with magical energy. It stretched from the attic window all the way up to the clouds!
"What are you doing up here, dear?" Grandma asked, smiling. "That old cable hasn't worked in years."
"It's calling to me," Lily whispered. She pulled the cable, and suddenly, a tiny basket elevator zipped down from somewhere above!
Inside, Lily found a glowing orange bottle labeled 'IMAGINATION VITAMIN'. Her heart raced as she stepped into the basket. Up, up, up she sailed, higher than the rooftops, higher than the birds, until she reached a castle floating in the sky!
There, sleeping on a cloud throne, was the most magnificent Sphinx Lily had ever seen. His fur sparkled like diamonds, and his wings shimmered with rainbow colors.
"Who awakens me?" the Sphinx rumbled, opening emerald eyes.
"I'm Lily," she said bravely. "I found your vitamin bottle."
The Sphinx laughed kindly. "Ah, my special vitamin! It gives children the courage to believe in themselves. But first, you must solve my riddle."
Lily nodded eagerly.
"What has no weight but can lift you up, has no voice but can speak to your heart, and belongs to everyone yet is yours alone?"
Lily thought hard. Then her eyes lit up. "Imagination!"
"Correct!" The Sphinx purred. "You may take the vitamin. One sip each morning will help you remember: magic lives inside brave hearts who dare to dream."
That night, Lily climbed back down the magical cable, the vitamin bottle safe in her pocket. She realized the real magic wasn't just the vitamin or the flying basket—it was having the courage to explore the unknown.
From then on, Lily faced every adventure with a brave heart, knowing that with imagination and courage, anything was possible.
