The Sphinx's Secret Swimming Pool

Luna had the most curious wild hair that bounced when she ran. Every morning, she'd explore the meadow behind her house, looking for magic.

One sunny afternoon, she followed a trail of sparkling blue butterflies deep into the forest. There, in a hidden clearing, she found something amazing—a golden sphinx with emerald eyes, resting beside a crystal pool.

"Hello, little one," the sphinx purred in a voice like warm honey. "I've been waiting for someone brave enough to find me."

Luna's eyes grew wide. "You're real!"

"As real as friendship," the sphinx said with a wink. "Would you like to meet my friends?"

From behind a bush peeked a sleek black cat. But this cat was special—it loved water! The cat dove into the pool with a joyful splash, swimming in graceful circles.

"And this is Buster," the sphinx continued, nodding toward a massive bull resting in the shade. Luna gasped. The bull looked enormous, with horns like crescent moons. But then Buster opened one gentle eye and gave a soft snort.

"Don't worry," the cat said, popping its head above water. "Buster may look scary, but he's the kindest friend you'll ever meet."

Luna approached carefully. The bull lifted his massive head and nuzzled her hand with his soft nose. His fur was warm, and his eyes were full of kindness.

"The pool has magic powers," the sphinx explained. "When friends swim together, they can understand each other's hearts."

"Can I try?" Luna asked.

The sphinx nodded, and Luna jumped into the cool water. Suddenly, she understood everything—the cat's playful spirit, the bull's gentle strength, the sphinx's ancient wisdom.

"Friends come in all shapes and sizes," the sphinx said softly. "What matters is what's in your heart."
