The Sphinx's Secret Riddle

Luna was a small golden dog with floppy ears and a big heart. Every morning, she would trot through the forest, her tail wagging like a happy flag. But today was different. Today, Luna discovered something magical.

Deep in the Whispering Woods, where the trees glowed with tiny fireflies, Luna met a enormous brown bear named Barnaby. Barnaby was gentle and kind, with the softest fur Luna had ever felt. "Hello, little friend," he rumbled in a voice like warm honey. "Would you like to see something wonderful?"

Barnaby led Luna to a clearing where an ancient sphinx sat upon a mossy stone. The sphinx had the body of a lion and the face of a wise old owl, with rainbow-colored feathers that shimmered in the dappled sunlight.

"I am Sophie the Sphinx," she said in a voice that sounded like wind chimes. "I have guarded this forest for a thousand years, and today I have a special riddle for you."

Sophie's eyes sparkled like stars. "What makes you strong like a bear, swift like a dog, and bright like sunshine? What helps you grow tall and keeps you healthy?"

Luna and Barnaby looked at each other and thought. "Running!" said Luna. "Honey!" said Barnaby.

Sophie smiled. "Those are wonderful answers, but the secret is something special called a vitamin. Vitamins are tiny magical helpers in your food that make your body strong. They're in fresh berries, crunchy carrots, and sweet oranges."

From that day on, Luna and Barnaby became best friends, exploring the forest together and sharing the healthiest, most delicious foods they could find. And whenever they ate their fruits and vegetables, they would think of Sophie the Sphinx and her magical riddle that taught them the secret to being strong and healthy.

The end.
