The Sphinx's Secret Power

vitaminpadelsphinx

Lily loved playing padel with her grandpa every Saturday. Padel was like tennis, but played in a glass cage with a special bouncy ball. Lily was small for her age, and sometimes she got tired before their game ended.

"You need your morning vitamin!" Grandpa would say, handing her a yellow gummy bear shaped like a sunshine. "Vitamins give you energy to play!"

One day, while Lily was waiting for Grandpa at the park, she noticed something strange behind the old padel court. A beautiful stone creature was half-buried in the flowers — it had the body of a lion and the head of a person!

"A sphinx!" whispered Lily, remembering from her storybook.

The sphinx's eyes suddenly twinkled. "Hello, young one," it said in a voice like wind chimes. "I've been sleeping for one hundred years. Will you help me wake up properly?"

Lily's eyes grew wide. "How?"

"I need three things," said the sphinx. "Something yellow like the sun, something that bounces, and something that comes from friendship."

Lily thought hard. She had her sunshine vitamin in her pocket! That was yellow like the sun. And her padel ball bounced perfectly! But what came from friendship?

Just then, Grandpa arrived. "Lily! Are you talking to that old statue?"

"It's magic, Grandpa! The sphinx needs our help!"

Grandpa smiled. He believed in magic too. Together, they placed the yellow vitamin, the bouncy padel ball, and Grandpa's hand on Lily's shoulder (friendship!) in front of the sphinx.

Suddenly, golden sparkles filled the air! The sphinx stretched and stood up tall. "Thank you!" it boomed happily. "For your kindness, I give you both a gift. Whenever you play padel together, you will never feel too tired. And Lily, you will grow stronger every day!"

From that day on, Lily and Grandpa played their best padel ever. And every time Lily saw the sphinx winking from behind the flowers, she knew that magic, friendship, and a little vitamin could make anything possible!

The sphinx taught them that sometimes the smallest acts of kindness can wake up the biggest magic.
