The Sphinx's Secret Pool

Lily discovered the pyramid quite by accident. She'd been chasing a blue butterfly through the desert when suddenly, there it was—a golden pyramid rising from the sand, shimmering in the sunlight like a giant piece of candy.

At the very top, something sparkled like a diamond. Lily had to see what it was.

She climbed step by step, her little legs growing tired. But she didn't give up. When she reached the top, she gasped in wonder.

There, in a crater at the pyramid's peak, was the most beautiful pool she'd ever seen. The water wasn't blue or green—it was pink and swirly, like strawberry milk mixed with cotton candy clouds.

"Welcome, little one," a deep but kind voice rumbled.

Lily turned to find a sphinx watching her. But this sphinx wasn't scary like in books. She had soft golden fur, big purple eyes with long curly eyelashes, and wings like a butterfly.

"I'm Cleo," the sphinx said, smiling. "And this is the Dream Pool."

"Dream Pool?" Lily asked, leaning closer to the magical water.

"Whatever you dream of most appears in the pool," Cleo explained. "But only if your dream is pure and kind."

Lily peered into the pink swirling water. At first, she saw toys and candy and all the things she thought she wanted. But then the image changed.

She saw her grandma, who lived alone and often felt lonely. She saw herself visiting Grandma, bringing her cookies, and reading stories together.

The pool glowed brighter than ever.

Cleo nodded approvingly. "You see, the best dreams aren't about getting things. They're about giving love."

Lily understood. "Can I come back?"

"Anytime," Cleo said. "But remember—the real magic isn't in this pool. It's in your heart."

Lily climbed down the pyramid, skipping with joy. She couldn't wait to visit Grandma. And she knew that every kind act was its own kind of magic.

That night, Lily dreamed of pink water and a sphinx with butterfly wings, and she smiled, knowing the greatest adventure of all was loving others.
