The Sphinx's Secret Orange Grove

Lily loved running through her grandmother's garden, especially when the sun painted everything in warm shades of gold. One afternoon, while running faster than ever before, she spotted something peculiar behind the ancient oak tree—a magnificent sphinx with emerald eyes and wings like a sunset!

The sphinx spoke in a voice like gentle bells. "Young Lily, I've been waiting for you. My orange grove is in trouble, and only a kind heart can help."

Lily's eyes widened. "You can talk? And you have an orange grove?"

"Indeed," the sphinx rumbled softly. "These are no ordinary oranges. Each one contains a special vitamin—the vitamin of kindness. When children eat them, they become more caring and loving toward others. But my trees are fading because children have forgotten how to share."

Lily's heart swelled with determination. "I'll help you! What must I do?"

"You must run to the village and bring back three children who have never shared anything before. If they each plant an orange seed with a promise to share, the grove will bloom again."

Lily set off running, her feet flying over the path. She found Thomas, who never let anyone play with his toys. She discovered Maya, who kept all her snacks to herself. And she spotted Sam, who never helped anyone with homework.

"Please come with me!" Lily begged them. "There's a magical sphinx who needs our help!"

Curious and excited, the three children followed Lily back to the garden. The sphinx greeted them warmly and explained about the magical oranges and the special vitamin of kindness inside.

Each child planted a seed, making a promise to share something special every day. As they spoke their promises, the orange trees began to glow. Blossoms burst open, and delicious oranges grew right before their eyes!

The sphinx smiled. "You have saved my grove. Remember, kindness is the most important vitamin of all."

From that day on, Lily, Thomas, Maya, and Sam visited the sphinx often, sharing oranges and sharing their hearts. And every time Lily went running through the garden, she knew that true magic comes from friendship and kindness toward others.
