The Sphinx's Secret Garden
Lily was **running** through the meadow, her bare feet dancing on the soft grass. The sun was setting, painting the sky in shades of pink and gold. She loved this time of day, when the world felt magical and anything seemed possible.
Near the old willow tree, she discovered something she had never noticed before—a tiny door hidden in the tree trunk, no bigger than her hand. Being curious (and sometimes acting like a **spy** on secret missions), Lily knelt down and peered through the keyhole.
To her wonder, she saw a spiral staircase leading down into the most beautiful garden she had ever imagined.
"Hello?" she called, and the door creaked open.
Inside, she met the most surprising friend—a small golden **sphinx** with emerald eyes and a warm smile. Unlike the scary ones in storybooks, this sphinx was kind and friendly.
"I'm Cleo," the sphinx said. "Welcome to my secret garden! Would you like to see something magical?"
Lily nodded eagerly.
Cleo led her to a sparkling stream where the **water** glowed with tiny rainbow lights. "This is the Stream of Wishes," Cleo explained. "But to make a wish come true, you must first share something special with someone else."
Lily thought hard. What could she share?
Then she remembered—her mom had packed her favorite sandwich for dinner, but she had seen a rabbit family nearby who looked hungry. The sandwich had **spinach** in it, her least favorite vegetable. But she knew the rabbits would love it.
"I'll share my dinner!" Lily said, and she ran back to get her sandwich, leaving it for the grateful rabbit family.
When she returned, the Stream of Wishes sparkled brighter than ever. Cleo smiled and touched Lily's forehead with a golden paw. "You have a kind heart, Lily. The best magic comes from giving to others."
That night, Lily **running** home with a heart full of joy, she realized something wonderful: friendship and kindness were the greatest magic of all.
