The Sphinx's Secret Game
Maya discovered something peculiar behind the old padel court — a tiny, orange-colored sphinx no bigger than her tennis bag. Its magnificent golden hair had vanished, leaving only a smooth, shiny head.
"I've lost my magical hair," the sphinx sighed, puffing out its cheeks. "It only grows back when someone brave beats me in padel."
Maya's eyes widened. "I'll play!"
The sphinx handed her a glowing orange racket. "But beware — each point you score makes me smaller. If you win, I disappear forever."
Maya hesitated. She wanted to help, but not at that cost! Then she remembered her grandma's words: sometimes the bravest thing is choosing kindness over winning.
"I have a better idea," Maya said, setting down the racket. "What if we play together instead? I'll teach you fun shots, and you can show me your magical tricks!"
The sphinx's orange eyes sparkled. "No one has ever wanted to be my friend before."
As they laughed and played, something magical happened. The sphinx's hair began growing back — thicker and more beautiful than before, shimmering like spun sunshine.
"Friendship is the best vitamin for the heart," the sphinx purred, as golden locks cascaded down its back. "Thank you for teaching me that winning isn't everything."
From that day on, Maya and the sphinx played padel every sunset, their friendship proving that kindness creates the most powerful magic of all.
