The Sphinx's Secret Friend

Lily loved **running** through her backyard, especially on golden afternoons when the sun painted everything in warm colors. But today was different. Behind the old oak tree, something sparkled.

She crept closer, pretending to be a **spy** on a secret mission. What she found made her gasp — a tiny **sphinx** no bigger than a kitten, with paws made of moonlight and wings that shimmered like morning dew.

"Hello, small one," the sphinx spoke in a voice like wind chimes. "I've been waiting for someone with a curious heart."

Lily's eyes widened. "Who are you?"

"I am guardian of the magical garden," said the sphinx. "But I need help." She showed Lily a glowing **cable** that connected to an old, forgotten scarecrow. "My friend has been sleeping too long. His heart needs awakening."

Lily approached the scarecrow carefully. It looked tattered and worn, like a clumsy **zombie** from storybooks. But when Lily touched its hand with kindness, something magical happened.

The scarecrow's button eyes sparkled. A warm smile spread across its stitched face. Golden light wrapped around it like a hug.

"Thank you," the scarecrow said softly. "I was lonely until someone saw me with kindness."

The sphinx purred with happiness. "You discovered the secret, Lily. Things that seem scary are often just waiting for friendship."

From that day on, Lily had two magical friends. They taught her that curiosity opens doors, but kindness opens hearts. And sometimes, the most wonderful adventures begin with looking closer at what others might fear.
