The Sphinx's Secret Friend

Lily loved exploring the old forest behind her house. One rainy afternoon, she followed a sparkly path until she found something amazing—a small pond where the **water** glowed like blue stars.

Suddenly, a tiny creature popped up! It looked like a **zombie**, but not the scary kind from movies. This little zombie had green skin that matched the moss, friendly eyes, and a crooked smile. He waved!

"I'm Zom!" he said. "Want to meet my friend?"

Lily nodded. Zom led her to a clearing where a miniature **sphinx** sat—a small lion with eagle wings and a wise face. The sphinx was only the size of a kitten, but she spoke with a grandmother's voice.

"Welcome, Lily," said the sphinx. "I've been waiting for someone brave enough to find us."

Suddenly, storm clouds gathered above. But these weren't scary clouds—they were magical! Purple **lightning** danced between them, creating beautiful patterns.

"The lightning is our magic," Zom explained. "It helps us protect the forest. But we need someone who understands that being different isn't bad."

The sphinx nodded. "Zom here is a zombie, yes. But he's also the kindest guardian I know. And I may look strange, but I only want to help. Will you be our friend, Lily?"

Lily smiled big. "Yes! Being different makes you special!"

That day, Lily learned that true friends see with their hearts, not just their eyes. And every rainy afternoon, she returned to visit her magical friends—the gentle zombie, the wise sphinx, and the enchanted lightning that made their forest glow with wonder.
