The Sphinx's Secret Cable Car

Leo loved exploring behind his grandmother's house. One sunny afternoon, he found an ancient wooden shed covered in vines. Inside sat a rusty cable car with colorful painted flowers.

"Hello there!" a gentle voice rumbled. Leo jumped! A golden sphinx with emerald eyes peeked from behind the cable car. Her fur sparkled like sunlight on water.

"I'm Cleo," said the sphinx. "This cable car goes to the Island of Wonders. Would you like to visit?"

Leo nodded eagerly. The cable car zoomed through the sky, passing clouds shaped like cotton candy.

The island was magical! Trees grew **papayas** that glowed pink when ripe. Cleo explained that these papayas could make you float three feet off the ground—but only if you shared them with friends.

Soon, children appeared from everywhere. They invited Leo to play **padel**, but this was no ordinary game. The **padel** court was made of moonlight, and the ball was a giggling star that changed colors whenever someone laughed.

"Now for **baseball**!" shouted a girl named Mira. But instead of a bat, Leo received a cricket. Instead of a ball, a tiny comet zipped toward him. When he hit it, rainbow sprinkles showered everyone!

Leo laughed until his sides hurt. He'd never had so much fun.

That evening, Cleo flew Leo home in the cable car. "Why do you do this?" Leo asked.

"Because magic grows best when shared," Cleo said wisely. "The papayas, the games, the fun—they're all gifts. But they only work when children play together."

Leo woke up in his bed the next morning, a pink papaya on his nightstand. He ran outside to find his friends.

"Look what I found!" Leo said, holding up the glowing fruit. "Who wants to play?"
