The Sphinx's Orange Magic

In a land where clouds were made of cotton candy, there lived a gentle sphinx named Oliver. Oliver wasn't like other sphinxes—you know, the ones who ask tricky riddles. Oliver loved helping others more than anything.

Beside Oliver's favorite spot grew the most magical orange tree in the world. Its oranges glowed like tiny suns, and when you peeled them, they smelled like happiness and summer days.

One afternoon, a young bull named Barnaby trotted by, looking sad. Barnaby was no ordinary bull—he wore a dusty baseball cap and carried a worn-out baseball in his mouth. His dream was to play baseball with the clouds, but he was too heavy to jump high enough.

"What's wrong, friend?" Oliver asked kindly.

Barnaby sighed. "I want to play baseball with the cloud-children, but I can't reach them. Even with my strong legs, I'm too heavy."

Oliver's golden eyes twinkled. "I have an idea! My magic oranges can make anything lighter than air!"

The sphinx plucked the brightest orange from the tree. As Barnaby ate it, something wonderful happened—he began to float! First his hooves left the ground, then his whole body lifted gently upward.

Barnaby gasped with delight. He tossed his baseball toward the clouds, and a cloud-child caught it! They played together all afternoon, the most magical baseball game ever played.

As the sun set, Barnaby floated back down. "Thank you, Oliver! But what about you? Don't you want to play too?"

Oliver smiled. "My joy is helping friends like you. That's the best magic of all."

From that day on, Barnaby visited Oliver every week. They learned that the best adventures happen when we help each other, and that true magic isn't in oranges or flying—it's in friendship.

And sometimes, if you look closely at the sky, you might still see a bull playing baseball with the clouds, while a kind sphinx watches from below, glowing with happiness.
