The Sphinx's Magical Riddle

Lily pushed her messy brown hair out of her eyes and knelt beside her golden dog, Sunny. They were in Grandma's attic, surrounded by dusty boxes and curious treasures.

"What's this?" Lily whispered, pulling out an old wooden racquet with colorful strings. It looked like a padel racket from the park games, but this one glowed faintly.

Sunny barked excitedly as the attic wall began to shimmer. A stone Sphinx stepped right through the bricks! Her lion body gleamed like warm honey, and her human face smiled kindly.

"I've been waiting for someone brave enough to find the Magic Padel," the Sphinx's voice echoed like gentle bells. "My riddles have turned my beautiful garden into a jungle of giant spinach plants! Only the Magic Padel can slice through the enchanted vegetables."

Lily's eyes widened. "Spinach? You mean the green vegetable my mom wants me to eat?"

"Exactly!" The Sphinx nodded. "But these enchanted spinach vines have trapped my baby Sphinx cubs in the pyramid garden. Will you help?"

Lily stood tall, her wild hair flowing like a brave warrior's mane. Sunny barked bravely. "Yes! We'll save them!"

The Sphinx touched Lily's forehead with her stone paw. Suddenly, they stood before an enormous pyramid covered in towering green spinach vines. The leaves were bigger than beach umbrellas!

Lily gripped the Magic Padel. "Sunny, find where the cubs are trapped!"

Her clever dog sniffed through the vines and barked at three round shapes hidden in the greenery. Three tiny Sphinx cubs looked up with frightened eyes.

Lily swung the Magic Padel. WHOOSH! The racquet sliced through the spinach vines like they were made of mist. Each stroke freed another cub until all three scampered to their mother.

"Thank you!" The mother Sphinx nuzzled Lily's cheek. "For your bravery, I'll give you a gift." She touched Lily's hair. "Now whenever you eat spinach, you'll remember this adventure and feel strong."

Lily blinked and was back in the attic. The Magic Padel was now just an old racket. But in her pocket, she found three tiny stone Sphinx figurines — and suddenly, spinach didn't seem so bad after all.
