The Sphinx's Magical Padel Court

Luna discovered the golden cat behind her school's ancient oak tree. Its fur shimmered like morning sunlight, and when it meowed, tiny stars drifted from its whiskers.

"Follow me, friend," the cat seemed to say without speaking.

Luna's heart fluttered with excitement. She slipped through a glowing doorway between the tree's roots, suddenly standing on purple grass beneath three twinkling moons.

The golden cat leaped onto a floating stone platform. "Welcome to my padel court!"

A sphinx with emerald wings and kind amber eyes materialized, holding a luminous racket. "I am Cleo, guardian of the Game of Wonder. We need players for the Midnight Match."

The padel court sparkled like crushed diamonds. The ball was made of pure stardust.

"Ghosts and zombies are coming," Cleo purred gently. "Don't be frightened."

But Luna wasn't afraid when they appeared. These weren't scary movie monsters. The zombies were gentle, green-tinted children like her, just lonely and longing for fun. Their eyes sparkled with hope.

"Do you want to play?" Luna asked, handing a zombie girl a glowing racket.

The zombie girl's smile was shy but genuine. "Friend?"

"Friend," Luna promised, beaming.

They played padel under three moons, laughter ringing like silver bells. The zombie children moved gracefully, their clumsiness vanishing with joy. Cleo the Sphinx nodded approvingly.

"True magic," she whispered, "is seeing with your heart, not your eyes."

When the final point was scored, Luna hugged her new friend. The zombie girl's green tint softened to warm pink.

The golden cat purred. "See? Everyone deserves a friend."

Luna returned through the oak tree, the golden cat curling around her legs. The zombie girl's smile lingered in her memory—a reminder that sometimes the scariest-looking people just need someone to believe in them.

"Same time tomorrow?" the cat meowed.

Luna grinned. "Definitely."
