The Sphinx's Magical Padel Court
Lily loved running through the park with her golden dog, Sunny. Every afternoon after school, they would race past the old tennis courts until Sunny would stop and wag his tail at something mysterious behind the bushes.
One Tuesday, Lily peeked through the leaves and gasped. There, glowing softly in the sunset, was a magnificent sphinx made of crystal and moonlight. But instead of posing silently like the sphinxes in books, this one was holding a padel racket!
"Hello there, little friend," the sphinx spoke with a voice like gentle wind chimes. "I've been waiting for someone who loves adventure as much as I do. Would you like to play magical padel?"
Lily's eyes widened. "You can talk? And what's magical padel?"
The sphinx smiled, her sparkly wings fluttering. "In this game, every hit creates magic! When the ball bounces, flowers bloom. When you score, wishes come true. But you must solve my riddle first."
Sunny barked excitedly as the sphinx asked: "I have four legs but cannot run, I have a bed but never sleep. What am I?"
Lily thought hard, remembering how Sunny loved his bed. "A bed! No wait... a dog bed?"
"Close, young friend!" The sphinx laughed. "The answer is 'a bed' - but I love how your mind works!"
They played padel until the stars came out. Each time Lily hit the ball, butterflies appeared. When Sunny chased the ball across the court, rainbow trails followed his paws. Lily had never felt so happy, running and laughing with her new friend.
"Remember," the sphinx said as the moon rose, "the best magic comes from friendship and kindness. This padel court will appear whenever you need a friend."
Lily hugged Sunny, whose fur now sparkled with tiny stars. Walking home, she knew this was just the beginning of many magical adventures together.
