The Sphinx's Magical Feast
Lily was playing in her garden when she noticed something peculiar behind the big **palm** tree. A small, golden creature with wings was sitting on a mushroom, looking worried.
"Hello," Lily said softly. "Are you lost?"
The creature turned, and Lily gasped. It had the body of a **dog** but the face of something ancient and wise. "I'm Bella," the creature said. "I'm a sphinx, and I'm in big trouble. Tomorrow is the Great Garden Feast, and I've forgotten the magic recipe!"
Lily's dog, Rusty, trotted over and wagged his tail happily at Bella.
"The feast needs three special ingredients," Bella explained. "A fruit of sunshine, leaves of strength, and a sprinkle of courage."
"I can help!" Lily said. "Let's look together."
They searched the garden. Behind the tool shed, Lily spotted something amazing—a **papaya** glowing with golden light. "This must be the fruit of sunshine!" she exclaimed.
"Perfect!" Bella said. "Now for leaves of strength."
They found a patch of **spinach** growing tall and green. Rusty barked excitedly and danced around the plants. "Rusty knows," Lily laughed. "Spinach makes you strong!"
"Now we need courage," Bella said. "But I don't know where to find it."
Lily thought hard. Then she looked at Rusty, who had never been afraid of anything, not even thunderstorms. "Courage isn't something you find," she said. "It's something you have inside you when you face your fears."
Bella's eyes twinkled. "You're right. And you and Rusty showed courage by helping a stranger. That's the final ingredient!"
That night, under the moonlit palm tree, they shared a magical feast with papaya and spinach. All the garden creatures came to celebrate. Bella told them riddles, and Lily learned that the best recipes always include friendship and kindness.
From then on, Lily, Rusty, and Bella had many more adventures together. And every time Lily ate spinach, she remembered that true strength comes from helping others.
